‘June sees the hedgerow bursting with a wide variety of roses, such as burnet rose, dog-rose, downy rose, field rose and sweet briar. They scramble up to the very top of the hedgerow seeking out the warm sun.

Nicola’s favourite is wild dog-rose, Rosa canina, a scrambler which has gorgeous sweet-scented flowers that vary from white to deep pink. Growing up to 5 metres high, the dog-rose loves the sunny side of our hedgerows.’
