Anemone Flambé 3-Inch Vase
Shipping: 1-3 days
A richly coloured 3-inch Anemone Flambé 33/3 vase, made around 1938 by William Moorcroft.
A garland of anemone flowers encircles the vase, their vermilion and crimson petals set against a deep flambé ground, with tones of midnight blue and teal pooling towards the base. Compact in form yet confident in presence, the piece shows William Moorcroft’s assured handling of both tubelining and colour balance.
In very good condition. The vase bears William Moorcroft’s hand-painted initials to the base, alongside the Moorcroft factory stamp and facsimile signature. The original paper label, By Appointment… Potter to HM The Queen, is retained. A small glaze burst from manufacture is visible on the lower edge (see final photograph). This is unobtrusive, does not detract from the vase’s overall appearance, and is reflected in the price.
We offer 1-3 day shipping on all pieces in the UK.
