This 7-inch Clematis vase was made around 1955 by Walter Moorcroft.

A garland of three clematis blooms winds gracefully around the vase, their petals unfurling in rich shades of sapphire blue and crimson, with lighter green foliage providing contrast. The bold interplay of colours – more vivid in person than our photographs can capture – makes this a particularly striking mid-century piece.

Excellent condition. Walter Moorcroft hand-painted initials to base over impressed Moorcroft factory stamp.
