This flambé Orchid Vase, standing 6 inches tall and 4¼ inches at its widest point, was made c.1949 by Walter Moorcroft and bears his initials to the base. Expertly tubelined and exuberantly painted, it is a desirable mid-sized piece.

For photography we have used floodlighting to draw out the richness of colour and the fine detail of the tubelining. In softer, natural light the palette appears a little more subdued, though no less striking.

Very good condition, with light glaze crazing consistent with age. Moorcroft factory stamp to base.
