Tobermory Vase 162/5
Shipping: 1-3 days
With the smell of salt and seaweed blowing around the Scottish Island of Mull, the small town of Tobermory clings to the shoreline. Tobermory was founded in 1786 as an ideal place for a fishing settlement mostly because of its natural harbour, though much of the steep cliff face on which it stands had to be carved out by hand.
Today, it is as picturesque as ever and renowned as the setting of the much-loved children’s BBC TV Series Balamory. The small, painted cottages still stand around the curving harbourside and it was these little houses which first captured Moorcroft Pottery designer Vicky Lovatt’s imagination.
