Moorcroft Pottery designer Rachel Bishop has long been drawn to water – to the mirrored calm of wetlands and the shimmer of wings above them. In her Golden Darter vase, she captures a moment of summer brilliance, as darter dragonflies dance above a mass of yellow flag irises. These semi-aquatic flowers flourish on the banks of streams and in flooded meadows, their golden blooms rising proudly from the cool, deep blues below.

Standing 7 inches tall, Golden Darter brings the serenity and movement of water to life in vivid ceramic form. Expert tubelining defines every petal and wing, while subtle glazes lend the vase its depth and luminosity.
