Gingerbread Houses Bauble
Shipping: 1-3 days
The tradition of decorated Gingerbread Houses began in Germany in the early 1800s, supposedly popularised after the not-so-Christmassy fairy-tale of Hansel and Gretel was published in 1812. The Grimms’ original fairy-tale includes the line: ‘When they came nearer, they saw that the house was built of bread, and roofed with cakes, and the window was of transparent sugar.’
Moorcroft Pottery designer Vicky Lovatt’s gingerbread houses have windows with a honey-coloured glow as steep, lodge-style roofs clad in iced-chevrons tumble down with a flurry of hearts to warm the spirit.
Gingerbread Houses comes as an open edition.
We offer 1-3 day shipping on all pieces in the UK.
