RHS Fiori Bottan

RHS Fiori Bottan collection

The collection of 45 watercolours on vellum known as ‘Fiori Bottan’ dates from the seventeenth century: the album is Italian, but the artist is unknown. It is also a mystery how the album and the original watercolours came to be in the Royal Horticultural Society’s Lindley Library in London.

These beautiful pictures of daffodils, anemones irises, tulips and lilies inspired Moorcroft pottery designer Nicola Slaney to create the Fiori Bottan collection.
