Sheep Miniature Vase
This superb freehand-painted miniature ceramic by Steve Smith shows a small flock of Sheep. We’re no experts but we think they’re Suffolks. One side of the vase shows three ewes, the other three very cute lambs, all against a stylised, richly coloured English landscape. There’s a Norman church in the background.
It’s easy to forget when looking at our photos that this piece is just 5cm tall – which makes the delicate, precise brushwork all the more remarkable.
Each of our Steve Smith pieces is an original; no two pieces are identical. Each comes signed by Steve, with a certificate of authenticity, and is presented in an attractive gift box.
