RSPB Rainham Marshes Collection
Just beyond the Thames Barrier in East London, RSPB Rainham Marshes is a wetland of 870 acres of ancient grazing marshes of the Thames Estuary. Its mix of shallow lagoons, lowland grazing marsh dissected by ditches, reedbed and woodland provides a habitat for a wide range of birds and scarce wetland plants and insects.
Moorcroft’s new RSPB Rainham Marshes Collection depicts Herons in flight above the Thames tributaries; Teals bathing in tranquil lagoons; red-listed birds, like Lapwings, thriving along the muddy banks, and curious little Water Voles scuttling in reed beds as Shrill Carder Bees buzz in a scene filled with Ruddy Darter dragonflies and Brimstone butterflies.
